What does CPY do?
Our mission is to connect urban scholars with young professionals to build opportunities for a brighter future. Our goal is to support our scholars throughout the college application and preparation process. One-on-one mentoring is the core of our program. All enrolled seniors are matched with a young professional who works with them throughout the College Prep Program. Pairs meet one time a month for two hours over a span of one year during CPY Sessions. At the conclusion of the program, Scholars become part of the CPY Alumni Network which provides opportunities for guidance and mentorship during their undergraduate years and beyond.
Why should you Donate?
CPY provides its college prep program free of charge to the students. We work hard to get donated items but need your help to continue to support the Saturday and weekly sessions. Your donation matters.
Support Levels
Pod Sponsorship ($2,500)
- Provides support for one of the nineteen Pods. Scholars and Mentors work collectively together in a team to enhance their exposure to different college and career experiences.
- Provides funding for one of the nine Saturday Sessions, supporting nearly 175 Mentors and Scholars.
- Provides funding to cover all program expenses for a Scholar throughout the entirety of the program.
- Provides funding for College Prep materials given to the Scholars at the start of the College Prep Program.
